Kintsugi technique

Kintsugi: "I kintsugi dell'anima" presents the most recent works by Anna Tozzi, who has long been dedicated to the fusion of her creative flair with the Japanese technique of kintsugi - literally "repairing with gold" - used since the 1400s for the restoration of ceramic cups.
In the artist's poetics, the cracks in her works represent not only elements of fracture or breakage but also intimate lacerations of the soul, due to the many negative events that life often presents. Filling with gold serves to enhance these moments of evolution and revolution, giving them their due importance in terms of personal growth rather than hiding them. Cracks are also seen as openings and glimpses of the negative, which begins to break to allow the passage of evolutionary light.
